The BV hard machining center was developed for complete final processing of large parts. The modular machine design allows realization of all technologies required for final machining such as internal, external, surface and conical grinding, turning, drilling, reaming and milling.  This makes it possible to finish parts with diameters up to 5,000 mm. Workpieces can weigh up to 40 t, depending on the size of the workpiece spindle

Modular BV machine design Our philosophy of complete processing with one single clamping operation, along with consistent orientation to customer requirements, has led to compact machines with modular design offering maximum flexibility. These machines are used everywhere complex machining processes with minimum cycle times are required and minimum shape and position tolerances are necessary. Optionally the machines can be equipped with one or two compound slide rests. In addition to complete finishing, equipping with a number of compound slide rests allows simultaneous machining. For example internal and external cylinder grinding operations can be performed simultaneously in this manner, significantly reducing the machining time without decreasing the quality. With machining diameters up to 1600 mm it is possible to equip the machine with two workpiece spindles. This makes it possible to decouple the charging and discharging times from the actual machining time.

CNC 235 Hard machining center The CNC 235 vertical hard machining center with vertical workpiece spindle can be used as a single purpose machine for

  • Internal grinding
  • External grinding
  • Hard turning

Moreover, these processes can be combined with one another as well as supplemented with other technologies. In addition to sequential machining, the machine can also be equipped for simultaneous machining, i.e. external and internal grinding at the same time. Use of a consistent module design also allows the possibility of equipping the machine with two main spindles, i.e. two workpieces can be machined simultaneously or the front and back can be machined at the same time. This machine also forms the basis for the CNC 235 G female thread machining tool.

The module system starts with the machine bed.
The following sizes are available: 1,200 mm, 1,800 mm, 2,400 mm and 3,000 mm.
This results in small compact machines with only one machining station
right up to simultaneous machines with two main spindles,
which are then larger, but nevertheless still compact
in consideration of the possibilities offered.

Naturally, in addition to welded designs, Buderus also offers the machine bed in natural granite.

Simultaneous grinding with CNC 235
Buderus has specialized in simultaneous grinding for more than 20 years. On the CNC 235, it is possible to use one additional X axis and one additional Z axis to simultaneously perform external and internal grinding operations.
This shortens the main time by the machining time for the shortest grinding operation.

 

CNC 235 DH with two main spindles One control, one conveyor belt, one machine bed, one chip conveyor and one housing suffice for two main spindles. So why not integrate two machines in one? This allows twice as many parts to be produced in the same time or makes two-sided machining possible.

CNC 235 G Female thread machining tool The CNC 235 G female thread machining tool is equipped with a vertical workpiece spindle in the upper area of the machine. The tools are firmly arranged in the lower area of the machine. Either hard turning tools are used exclusively or, in addition, grinding spindles or revolving turrets are used. The machine is particularly suitable for hard turning spherical collar nuts with high pitch. Additional tools in the working chamber make complete machining possible with one clamping operation.

This makes it possible to machine the inner and outer diameter, as well as enabling surface grinding on a workpiece sequentially or simultaneously in one clamping operation. This achieves high concentricity of the ground diameter and surfaces in relation to one another while reducing cycle times.

CNC 28 M, the two sided machine The CNC 28 M double sided, internal, external and surface grinding machine guarantees very short machining times and maintenance of high shape and position tolerances because up to 4 grinding wheels machine the workpiece simultaneously. This is made possible by the center drive with high precision hydrodynamic or hydrostatic workpiece spindle. The machine can process a wide spectrum of workpieces. This includes, among others, two sided machining of housings, drive shafts, hydraulic parts and many others.

CNC 335 G Female thread grinding machine The natural granite machine bed on the CNC 335 G female thread grinding machine guarantees high precision. Moreover, the CNC controlled radius dresser with diamond roller ensures maximum accuracy. It is possible to machine metric female threads as well as Whitworth, trapezoidal and special profiles, such as spherical collar nuts with Gothic or radius profile. The machine is equipped with a female thread grinding support with additional vertical axis. This guarantees that the middle of the wheel is always positioned at the center height, even when the length of the grinding arbor varies.

CNC 635 external grinding center The CNC 635 external grinding center is available in two size versions. One version is designed for workpieces with a grinding length of up to 500 mm and the other for workpieces with grinding lengths up to 1000 mm. The machine is suitable for straight plunge cut and angular plunge cut grinding as well as for rough and thread grinding. It can be equipped with one, two or even three grinding supports, so that it is usually no longer necessary to reclamp on other cylindrical surface grinders.
